As the host country and on behalf of the Sarawak Government, I would like to welcome you to Kuching and thank you for investing so much of your time in travelling to our home.
Sarawak’s decision to host the IHA Congress reflects our sincere desire to learn from others and to share our own experience, with a view to securing the best possible results from our hydropower initiatives for all concerned.
The Congress Theme ‘Advancing Sustainable Hydropower’ is particularly resonant with the challenges currently faced by Sarawak and I trust that my short presentation of Sarawak’s perspective will be relevant and interesting in this regard.
